Montana National Guard Recognizes Returning Combat Veterans

Helena, Mont. ? Sunday, December 2, 2012 the Montana Army National Guard will recognize 19 Soldiers and their families from several Montana National Guard Units who have recently return from deployment overseas, in a Freedom Salute Ceremony, at Trinity Lounge, Trinity Hall on the campus of Carroll College at 1:30 p.m.?

The Soldiers are members of four different Montana National Guard units who deployed in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. The ceremony is designed to publicly acknowledge Montana Army National Guard Soldiers and those who supported them during the President?s call to duty for recent military operations.

?The Freedom Salute ceremony provides us a way to show our appreciation for the service and sacrifice our Soldiers and their families make when they volunteer to deploy for long periods of time,? said Major Tim Crowe, public affairs officer for the Montana National Guard.
